Health foods are certain foods claimed to have specific favorable effects on health. The term can also be used to refer to low sugar and fat diets. Some health foods include whole-wheat products. These foods have retained much more nutrients and break down much more slowly than those made of white flour. Eating more vegetables and fruits, which decrease the risk of getting cancer. They also help you to loose weight. Fish and white meats are a good source of omega-3 fats, which are essential but cannot be produced in the body. Another great health food is goji berries.

Water is also considered to be a health food therefore you need to take a lot of it. Although eating health foods is good, not everybody claiming to have discovered a new health food should be believed, some are just marketers out to exploit customers who are only too willing to take anything thrown at them as long as it is labeled to have some natural health value. Extreme caution should be taken when purchasing processed products that are said to be natural.  One healthy food that has been sought after by many people is goji berries, this may be something to look into
