Chicken is perfect for cooking in the crockpot and I’m always keeping an eye out for new recipes. A few weeks ago I came across this all day crockpot chicken recipe. I wasn’t quite sure about it to be honest because the mixture of ingredients just sounded weird. I figured I’d at least give it a try and guess what… it turned out great. Somehow the ingredients just blend together into a delicious dish.

I filed it under my favorite crockpot recipes in my recipe organizer and I’m sure I’ll be cooking this quite a bit in the months and years to come. It takes a little bit more effort than other recipes where you basically just dump everything into the pot and turn it on, but it is well worth it. The different flavors are also a nice change from the usual chicken recipes that I’ve been cooking. We also loved the marinade and can’t wait to try it as a grilling marinate. It should make for some great grilled chicken that would be perfect over a salad.

I have been a Pilates Instructor for twelve years and my favorite Pilates exercise tool, that isn’t a large piece of equipment, is the Pilates ring. Originally called the Magic Circle by Joseph Pilates, there is something magical about this simple yet effective resistance workout tool. The Pilates ring enables the user to gain resistance deep within a muscle group making workouts more intense. The squeezing action isolates certain muscle groups and activates their functionality. The ring can be used to tone and strengthen arms, chest, legs and torso by repeatedly contracting and releasing the muscles.

The inner thighs, or adductors, are an easy demonstration of the power of a Magic Circle. Imagine lying on your back with your knees bent and feet placed on the floor. With the ring between your knees, gradually squeeze the ring like you’re squeezing a lemon. You’ll tone and work the inner thigh muscles easier and faster than on a gym machine. One of the best advantages of a Pilates ring is the convenience and cost. At 12-14 inches in diameter, a ring is easy to tote along. The pricing is easy too. Ranging in price from approximately $20 - $50, a Magic Circle is definitely affordable.

So if you’re looking for a great home-use toning tool that is fun and different and most of all effective, then try a Pilates Ring and squeeze your way into shape.

Is there any chance you may have over indulged and dipped into your kids Halloween bag one too many times over the past few days? (Or maybe 10 too many times?) It happens to the best of us. Beating yourself up about it doesn’t do your self-confidence, waistline , or cholesterol levels any good. Simply admit the setback, and now let’s do something about it, okay? The first place I’m going to suggest you start is with a little more exercise since that is one of the few effective ways to raise HDL cholesterol levels.

Did you notice I just said a “little more exercise”. I say that because most people will fall flat on their face when they try to go from Zero to Hero with an exercise program. But just a few minutes more than you’re doing today can help put a boost in your beneficial HDL cholesterol numbers. This is important because this it’s the HDL which helps negate and offset the bad LDL cholesterol. So even if it’s just puttering around in the garden or cleaning the house, get your body moving and starting offsetting the Halloween tricks you played on your arteries.

As any garlic lover can attest to, there is nothing quite like the taste of fresh roasted garlic in your favorite dish to really liven up the flavor. For a long time I would just cook my fresh garlic by wrapping some foil around it and placing it in the oven to bake. It worked out okay, but I always knew there must be a better way to roast my garlic cloves. Then recently I was searching for some recipes online when I saw a reviewer raving about her garlic baker, so I thought it was time I bought one for myself.

Now that I have it, I really enjoy using my new garlic baker – it sure beats using aluminum foil by far. This baker is a really nice size and I can easily fit five to six garlic cloves in it, which is great when I’m making a large meal or if I’m planning to make a batch of garlic spread. Being made of quality clay, it’s really quite attractive as well. Now that I’ve been using and enjoying this great baker, I realized how much I enjoy cooking in clay and plan to purchase some more quality Romertopf cookware for my kitchen.

For all those busy executives who love to golf but seem to never have the time to get all the equipment necessary there is www.TheGolfCollection.com. At this web store you can find all your golfing accessories you will ever need from your wooden golf organizer to your leather golfing caddy. Everyone knows that in this game you need to have the right golf accessories to help you make the most of it. For example if you have your own private course you can always use a golf cart rain cover so your cart doesn’t get drenched with water in the off season. Or if you tend to do a lot of traveling you will really be able to use the out-of-towner II travel bag. This stylish bag has an outer compartment for your shoes and a larger compartment for your clubs, what a great way to travel.

You could even buy a golf pull cart from this wonderful online store, who wouldn’t love that as a gift. This makes it so much easier to carry all of your heavy clubs, with this you can pull them instead of throwing them over your shoulder. That will really make the game much more enjoyable and give you less stress on your muslces. These are all such wonderful gifts of golf for anyone who loves the game or who travels a bit but still loves to catch a round here and there. There is not one thing on this site that the golfer would not love to have.

You’ll have your natural jumping for joy with Plato Free-Range Kangaroo Strips. In fact, you may need to keep a few in your pouch for him. The company is well aware that even using organic chicken or beef does not prevent a dog from having allergies to these commonly used proteins. So, they have created the kangaroo strips. These tasty delights come in a convenient, re-sealable 6-ounce package. There are no artificial flavors, colors, genetically modified organisms or synthetic preservatives to worry about, so your dog will have a natural jerky treat that contains over 90% kangaroo. With the addition of rosemary, brown rice and glucosamine there’s an extra boost of antioxidant power for your canine pal’s good health. The kangaroo meat used in the production of the Plato snacks is harvested under strict regulations set by the Australian government, the entire process being carefully monitored to ensure minimal environmental impact on herds. Since the kangaroo meat is naturally low in saturated fat, it is a good protein alternative for dogs that are watching their figure.

Every dog companion deserves the highest quality, premium ingredients in their dog treats. Jerky and salmon treats that have human grade ingredients, no additives or synthetic preservatives and colors are likely the best alternative to mass market dog treats. “Chews” wisely for the wellness and health of your dog pal.

Proper nutrition is essential for every living thing if it is to function at its best. We know that our furry companion’s skin and coat can tell us the story of health at a glance. An adequate intake of essential fatty acids in your dog’s diet is necessary, and since the fish oils, Omega-3s, spoil easily, even the premium dog foods do not often include them. Royal Coat Express, by Ark Naturals offers a way for you to ensure your dog’s health and wellness. If your dog has flaky, dry skin that itches, he’s shedding excessively and looking generally dull, this oil with the necessary amounts of Omega-3 and Omega-6essential fatty acids will help to improve his coat and skin health. The dosage is offered by the dog’s weight and its high palatability makes it simple. Drizzle it over the food or offer it directly from the spoon. The Royal Coat is also an ideal supplement for dogs that are taking glucosamine to improve their joint health. The supplement is completely natural, dairy free and gluten free which is perfect for any dog that has sensitivities or allergies to common food ingredients. There are no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives in the supplement and you’ll be seeing a shiny, fur coat on your dog in no time!

Natural skin and coat dog supplements are a good way to ensure that your dog is at the top of his game in every way. A healthy dog is a happy dog and you can do it very naturally by offering a daily dog supplement for skin and coat. Just for the health of it.

Earlier this year I was looking for a bird feeder as a present for my mother. She’s the outdoor gardening guru, with an opinion on everything and a yard that I thought already included every possible cool idea available for bird lovers and backyard gardeners. Boy, was I ever wrong about that. I was looking for something that wasn’t made of metal and because she is getting on a bit – a truth I will never share when Mom is within ear shot, a big priority was to find a feeder that would be easy to maintain, but I never imagined you could find a feeder as easy to maintain as the Chalet Bird House Bird Feeder.

You see, this combination bird house bird feeder never needs filling. It arrives ready to hang out in your backyard with all the food – in this case a combination of ornamental corn, moss and spray millet - already on it. When you start with a 12 inch tall and 8 inch wide bird house, and cover it with wild bird food; you never need to worry about buying food or lugging it outside in the dead of winter. Instead, once the food is gone, your backyard is left with a wooden bird house that’s shaped like a chalet in the woods. It’s a great way to surprise the “has everything” gardener on your list and it’s a colorful, affordable and very eco-friendly addition to just about any backyard.

We just installed our undercounter water filter and it’s the best thing we did last month! We were using one of those tabletop filters. Not only were they expensive to use (48 cents a gallon), the water tasted okay but not all that great. What started my search was that I was sick of filling up the little canister and only getting a glass or two of water out of it. Plus, I had to change to filters a lot and the cost wasn’t cheap.

So I started looking around on the Internet and saw that the “Best Value” out there bar none was the Aquasana AQ-4500 Undercounter Filter. This filter is a two-stage cartridge filter that is both Underwriters’ Laboratory rated and has received the Consumer Digest’s “Best Buy” award many years in a row. A couple of screws under the sink and a couple of connections and we were in business! (They even had a video clip on their website for the installation but you hardly needed it and we were drinking water at 9 cents a gallon and having to change the cartridges ever 6 months instead. A great improvement!

I used to love to go to tanning beds. I thought they were the easiest, most convenient way to look beautifully brown. The first time I used one, I burned because I was not aware of how powerful they are. My skin tone is very fair and burns easily. I soon learned that I had to start out slowly.

However, there are certain dangers of using tanning beds. For one, you never know the strength of the bulbs in the particular bed you are climbing into. Some places replace there bulbs very regularly, and others wait until they completely burn out. It is a risk every time you climb into one because you go in not knowing the exact condition of the bulb.

Another risk is going into a tanning bed that is not monitored. My personal experience once was in a place that had many other things going on, such as a gym and areas where hair and nails were also done. This was my last visit to any tanning bed because I fell asleep in it and burned from head to toe. The timer was set wrong and I suffered first degree burns. These risks not only carry temporary consequences, but long term ones, too. You are subjecting yourself to the possibility of having skin cancer later in life; it also causes your skin to age faster.
